..."Dimension x (ethernet / usb mini usb side to side) 84.81mm
Dimension and (sound / video to hdmi side) 55.92mm

Board is 1.5mm deep

Overall height (from top to bottom of usb connector adapter of sd cardis around 22mm)
ethernet port overhangs by + - 1.5mm

overhangs by port usb2 + - 7.5mm

Just curious: with all the PIs out there has anybody now checked/verified my measurements?

I get from different people different measurements...

85.0 x 56.17  but also  84.9 x 55.9

Not heard yet anybody about the component positions and sizes

I have a forum member that has an RPI and asked to verify your measurements and I must say are quite accurate,

Can someone with a production board please confirm how far the largest component on the underside protrudes?

It is probably the SD card holder but the lugs that hold the USB sockets in place don't look small. I've seen everything from 1.9mm to over 5mm for various brands/models of SD holders.

I would think a vernier gauge would be needed!

My case from thingiverse got printed and I am told it fits perfectly after adapting the pcb width.  The pcb width is reported from 55.9 – 56.19

So far I know nobody changed the component positions, so everything is confirm Gert measurements.

I use 3.5 mm as sd cardholder height...

I just designed my Raspberry Pi case and I am going to get a set of 5 made initially. If all proves well I shall produce more if there is a demand for them. There WILL be a 20% donation made to the Raspberry Pi Foundation on any profit.

Please look and comment at: raspi.co.uk

Thank you.

Hi All

New member, just used the dims here to create a solidworks model of the Pi

if anyone is interested i'll upload it to 3D content central for people to try out

waiting for my Pi to arrive, which should be the end of the month to tidy up dimensions and connector/part positions

feedback greatly appreciated

Hi,

I'm currently working on the CAO Pi board production dimensions. I near finished to draw and to place all the connectors and parts present on the Pi board.

I will share the dimension as soon as finish on my website : http://freakyshape.com/

Hi Gert,

can you please renew the drawing with measurements from current production boards, including the mounting holes of the modB rev2 board?

Thanks in advance,
eightbit

I'm pretty sure Gert won't have time to do that, but if someone out there with a rev2 would like to oblige...

Gert,

Is that what's in the top section of this post?
I am wondering if you could add the following to it.
Location of the P1, P5 and P6 -- just the Pin 1 location from 0,0

Thanks

No I can't do that.
It sounds strange but the reason is simple:
I have provided all measurements using a simple digital caliper.
If I indicate the pin-1 that information is likely to be used in PCB design.
(I think that is also the reason why you asked).
A digital caliper is not accurate enough to provide that data.
I will have to ask the foundation (especially Pete Lomas) for the
Gerber database. From there I can give figures exact enough for PCB design.
I am, not sure they are willing to give that data out.

Gert, many thanks for updating the drawing.

Any chance someone could post it as a file attachment as scribd is asking for $9 to download it :-(

That should be incorrect. I posted it as free.
I will have to look into that.

Can anybody confirm this?
It is free to me but then it is also in my account so I can't reliably check this.

Now that REALLY pisses me off!
I do all the work and somebody else is cashing in on it!
I will take action but sometime tomorrow after I am calmed down and had a good nights sleep.
