I'm opening these up in Eagle 8.1.0 and notice that when I place the schematic in my schematic the board doesn't show up on my board linked to it. Is this a version issue for Eagle 8.1.0, am I using the lib wrong, or were they ever hooked up like that?

Used today in Eagle 8.1.0 and it shows up perfectly. I don't know the cause of your issue. Which kind of license do you have?

Of course you can, but OP has not logged in to the forum for more than 3 years...
