Pi Zeros just came back in stock at the Microcenter in Boston (really Cambridge, MA, but I didn't want UK readers to get too excited). You have to go to the store and ask at customer service. Still one per customer and you can't even order on-line for store pickup. Other Microcenters have them, too, you can check availability here: http://www.microcenter.com/product/4577 ... ment_Board
If you don't live near a Microcenter, have a friend grab one for you.

One is shown in stock at Microcenter in Chicago/Central. I got one at the Chicago/Westmont last week and they showed stock until early this week.
I might be mistaken but I think that when Chicago/Westmont had stock Chicago/Central had none and later when Chicago/Westmont showed none, Chicago/Central did. It made me wonder if they shuttled extra stock from Westmont to Central.
In any case, that the Zero was in stock in Westmont for nearly a week seems to indicate that supply may be catching up with demand.
At this moment their site is r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w.

I kept checking online for the Cincinnati Ohio Microcenter store and no joy for a Pi Zero until today. I'm going to be heading to the store today to pick one (or two) up.

That site doesn't scrape Pimoroni accurately.fruitoftheloom wrote:http://whereismypizero.comJeff2 wrote:I kept checking online for the Cincinnati Ohio Microcenter store and no joy for a Pi Zero until today. I'm going to be heading to the store today to pick one (or two) up.

Why bother? You can't get them...
I don't live by a Micro Center....
I've been waiting for over 6 months... it's not happening folks.... unless you want to get gouged price wise to get one....
It's ridiculous....

If you have been waiting for six months and haven't managed to get a Pi Zero, you haven't been trying. Both PiHut and Pimoroni in the UK have base (board only) Pi Zeros in stock. They'll ship to the US.cowboysdude1 wrote:Why bother? You can't get them...

i have a new RPi Zero and paid a bit more than MSRP but i'm not complaining... combined with a $5 micro-hdmi plug, $12 HDMI->VGA adapter (Ableconn), donated Belkin wifi dongle-dingy from the sister-in-law, parts-bin 4-port USB hub, $5 USB sound card (Sabrent C-media), $1 wireless mouse and $2 wireless keyboard (from Big Lots), and a $9 thrift-store Dell LCD monitor, we have a nice little desktop for our guest bedroom down here on the Gulf of Mexico (the thrift stores 'round these parts are *great* for scrounging electronics - all kinds of stuff for $1 or so!):
total cost? US$49!!!
i'd say that's reasonable... but it is a shame that the Zero isn't in greater availability... think of all the possibilities...
