Scratch GPIO issue

Mon Feb 17, 2014 9:00 pm

Forgive me if this is more of a Scratch issue than a general Raspberry Pi issue, but my son and I are getting into controlling the GPIO pins from Scratch and I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere else...

We have successfully used the 6 pins that, by default, are set to output (11,12,13,15,16,18). Unfortunately we're one pin short of controlling a 7 segment LED number display, so I need another output pin.

I have also successfully set pins 7 and 22 as output pins from the command line using:
gpio mode 7 out
gpio write 7 1
gpio write 7 0

Unfortunately, nothing I do within Scratch seems to enable these pins for use as output. Any ideas?

Who's Scratch -> GPIO software are you using?

My ScratchGPIO will automatically switch a pin to output if you try and set its value so may be worth trying?
