I wanted to see what the new HQ camera could do attached to a Sigma 150-600mm lens, and of course my first target had to be the moon...

Re: HQ Camera Moon video test
Very cool
Re: HQ Camera Moon video test
I really like the video with Sigma 150-600mm lens:
I wanted to do the same, but did not want to spend 1000$ for such lens(as amazon said).
So I used 50$ 35mm C mount lens with 14$ 50X zoom lens in series:

I captured video as well, captured moon with smartphone on 7" display showing "raspistill --focus -t 0":

Nothing comparable to Sigma lens, but details can be seen with 64$ as well.

Re: HQ Camera Moon video test
I had recorded the moon on 25th of June for reference. It is amazing how fast it moves, if you zoom in with 250mm(on youtube). The lens you can get used for about 100€. The 500mm mirror lens from the other thread is a cheap lens for about 100€ new. The quality of the mirror lens is a bit less than a classical lens and it is really hard to focus and use.
