HDMI projector with Hyperpixel 4 DSI problems

Wed Jul 21, 2021 11:54 pm

Recently I have been trying to run a split screen setup with both a wall projector vga converted to hdmi alongside a Hyperpixel 4 Dsi (that is interfaced with GPIO on a raspberry pi 400). Ideally I would like the projector to show the display and the Hyperpixel 4 to serve a as a standalone command line console. I have heard a lot of talk about how firmware and frame buffers will not allow it. Anyone have any ideas on how I can do this or if there are any firmware updates that will allow it?

As the Pi400 runs FKMS by default you should get a nice extended screen with HDMI and the Hyperpixel - which is DPI btw. Make shure you have max_framebuffer=2 in your config.txt.

Return to “Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.)”
