Wireless PIR sensor - as used by alarm systems

Fri Oct 07, 2022 8:21 am

Has anyone successfully connected a PIR sensor of the type used by alarm systems to a Pi?

I'm sure a couple of months back I read something about 99% of them using a common protocol for communication, but I can't find it now.

Obviously there would need to be an interface built to handle the radio to physical connection.

Z-Wave and Zigbee are industrial standards that some devices CHOOSE to use.

ANT+ is less likely used for PIR sesnor
