It seems we can now buy the
SenseHAT V2

How do I know, Pihut has them

Main difference between v1 and v2 seems to be the additional TCS3400 colour sensor. Everything else looks to be the same.

Yeah it gain colour and luminosity and also passive infrared sensing.
Not sure if they sorted the heat sensor etc out as I forget the 'release' details from back whan the new AstroPi's went to the ISS.

But people can build matching ISS setups now (if they can get a coral) or follow more of the teaching programs.

Found the proposed updated driver to get the new TCS3400 working...

All it needed was some addresses changing.
