I read and read about endless troubles with powered USB hubs and the Pi 4. I have a Sabrent powered hub, if power is hooked to it, the Pi does bad things, doesn't work.
I know the TP-Link UH720 is one of the goto's, but, it doesn't have individual outlet control, which I want. I have some devices I don't use very often, but don't want to have to plug them in when I do need to use them for various reasons
So, is there a thread with known good USB 3.0+ hubs (can't find it)? The need is Powered USB Hub, more than 4 outlets, doesn't cause boot or any other issues with booting the Pi, and, each USB outlet can be powered on and off (and as a bonus the whole hub could be powered off).
Hopefully, this would allow switching on/off a device and not crashing the Pi, as happens for me (and seems to be reported in these forums) when hot plugging into the Pi directly.

Re: Need Pi4 Powered USB Hub with individual power switches
Searching for "powered hub hub with individual port control" turns up lots of contenders. The main issue you are going to have is that they are not clear in the specifications if they have back powering issues or not. The other issue is that your requirement is rather niche, and I certainly don't have any powered hubs with individual switches and suspect most Pi users are in a similar situation, so getting a solid recommendation may be tough.
I would buy one from a reputable supplier with a decent return policy and just try it.

Another option may be buying a known HUB with no issues and USB cables with switches for your devices.

I have no experience with them, just throwing it out there.

Yes a known hub with no issues, that's what I am asking people which one(s) are good? Is there a list somewhere?

Didn't you mention one in your original post, the cable switches I referred to was in addition to that?

Re: Need Pi4 Powered USB Hub with individual power switches
Yes, but that is a USB 3 hub. The cable with power switch is usb2. And I don't want 4 or 5 of these, they wouldn't even fit where I have the device. Really only wanting suggestions for a known working hub that would fit my criteria, if anyone knows. If they do not, then, one by one I guess I have to try them.

So, for the sake of others, I got a powered Atolla 7 port usb 3 hub with individual power switches and it works perfectly! No issues at all, all problems gone.

Here's another. I've been using this one since shortly after the Raspberry Pi 4B was released:
