Hi, I would say that I am a beginner as I do not have anywhere near enough linux experience to be proficient, however try to work my way through it.
Any help here would be amazing
I have attempted to set up a Pi Model 3 B with Cups to use solely for my Dymo Labelwriter 4XL
The Dymo is using 4x6 labels (this is important)
Initial setup of cups & Samba went ok
The first hurdle was to figure out why raster2dymolm was missing,
Followed https://github.com/Kyle-Falconer/DYMO-SDK-for-Linux to get the missing file & Dymo drivers
Success, It now prints, But not correctly in Windows
Windows can only see the available label size as Business Card 2x 3 5 and prints everything to that size on the 4x6 label
When editing the printer settings in Cups dashboard, the default size is set to 4x6
I am not able to change the label size within windows & The driver presented to windows is "Microsoft IPP Class Driver"
If I change this manually to the correct LabelWriter 4XL Driver, the printer is instantly unable to communicate
Does someone else have this same printer setup or know if there are updated drivers other than the link I followed?
I have tested on a Mac and it works just fine, I am able to select the label size and print fine at 4x6

Re: Cups setup with Dymo Labelwriter 4XL - Driver issue with Windows
I found that the 4XL when set up as a shared printer didn't export all the available label sizes, and you needed to have the driver installed locally for it to work with 4x6 shipping labels. After that, I could reconnect and re-share the 4XL from the Raspberry Pi, and all of my computers print to it properly.

Hi @angelo1989 did you ever fix this? I have the exact same issue
Re: Cups setup with Dymo Labelwriter 4XL - Driver issue with Windows
I'm having the same issue here.
I've tried modifying the ppd files per some googling, downloading a lw4xl.ppd from a github, and removing all of the options except the 4x6 ones I want.... I've only seen "Business Card 2x 3 5", "Letter", and "A4" options show up in Windows in all my various testing. The printer used to work... I'm not sure if it's Cups or Windows or both that updated and broke it.
