There was a video from SCALE20x where Ken Thompson states that he now favors "Raspbian" for regular use, in at about 57m 50s.

Now, "Raspbian" could possibly mean actual Raspbian or else Raspberry Pi OS under its old name. Either way, the mention is a very interesting development.
It would be a real feather in the cap for The MagPi to score a brief interview with him about it some day.

Re: Ken Thompson at SCALE20x mentions "Raspbian"
He goes on and says he has lots, including 12 stacks of 4 x Pi4 and they run things around his house.

I focused on his statement about preferred OS but do check out the second half of his talk! He's got a fancy jukebox with them to choose from some tens of thousands of CDs. That jukebox is interconnected with a Raspberry Pi-powered player piano for the really old tunes. He mentioned the clusters too.

Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing that with us. I'll take a look and see if we can get in touch with Ken.
