I currently use get_iplayer to retrieve content from the BBC iPlayer service for later offline viewing.
I would like to do the same for the UKTV channels. Is there a similar script/tool that would let me do this using a Pi (probably a Pi4, since that's where my iplayer stuff resides) relatively painlessly?
I've seen various "articles" describing how to do it on Windows, which mainly seem to involve installing some custom app or other from what seems to be a dodgy source, and (a) I am not terribly trusting, and (b) I DO NOT want to use Windows - this is a linux dominated house.
Usually, when I want to watch stuff, my external connection is flaky or heavily loaded, as it seems all my neighbours are doing the same thing.
