I immediately close any websites that use white on black such as Hackaday.
You can fix that, but it's a hack, which, ironically, you won't find out about.
Yes I know. Or I can set Firefox to override their settings but that messes up all websites. Easier just to ignore them.

I suspect the reason RPL haven't done a black case is you have to really clean the mould well after injecting black plastic, and they don't want a batch of random grey cases.
They already DO.

I'd like a random grey case. A random grey mouse would be even better.
I'd prefer grey (over black), too. Backlit would be ideal.

Sounds like Pi400 is not the product for you. Get that keyboard, a Pi4B (with the appropriate amount of memory and a case to suit -- plastic , wood or metal), and call Bob your Uncle.

Those aren't Pi400 which is a lower volume product so may not be worth the cost of mould cleaning. In fact the mouse may just be an OEM rebadged one.

The mouse is available in black and white. The Pi keyboard is basically the same as the top of the Pi 400.

I know, why not get an OEM to make it? Then you don't have to worry about cleaning the mould!
Oh no, not again.

Got hold of a French Pi 400 a while back when availability was a problem along with a UK black Pi keyboard and mouse.
Just used a thin knife to pop the snap fits and gently unplugged the internal ribbon cables.
The mousendectomy was a similar procedure.
Works fine. The red underside of the keyboard is barely noticeable when in use.
Fun little project
An incorrectly labelled F10 key doesn’t bother me
YMMV
