I've followed the guide here https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... cess-point to set up a Bridged Wireless Access Point on my Pi 4B.
Everything went smoothly for the most part, until I went to test it. I successfully found the network and could connect to it on my laptop and access the internet.
Problems occurred when connecting to the network on my phone. I was once again able to find the network and connect to it using my iPhone, but I had no internet access. The icon wasn't even showing up on the top right.
So far, I've tried:
Rebooting (twice already)
Redoing the entire process
I'm also running Pihole and PiVPN (Wireguard) on the Pi if that's relevant at all.
Re: Raspberry Pi 4B as Bridged Access Point—Can connect but no internet?
On a pi4 running the same Bridged Wireless Access Point, an iPhone connected OK to it and did get internet access. So did an iPad. iPhone running iOS 16.7 and iPad running iPadOS 17.0.1. A working ethernet cable was plugged into the pi4 of course.
So maybe it is your other pihole and VPN.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4B as Bridged Access Point—Can connect but no internet?
Sounds like an issue with your iPhone and its configuration.
I too have had an AP working as expected using that guide and a variety of devices.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4B as Bridged Access Point—Can connect but no internet?
Seems like it is indeed a problem with my own iPhone configuration in particular. I tried connecting to the access point with another iPhone and it also works perfectly fine...
Any advice? My phone is a relatively old iPhone 10 on iOS 16.3.1. Pretty sure it supports WPA3, and the Pi is like right next to me too.

Maybe look on Apple support pages (lots of people have the same issue)
Note NameOfNetwork is WPA2

Re: Raspberry Pi 4B as Bridged Access Point—Can connect but no internet?
Solved!
Had to just manually configure the IP settings in my phone's settings. Seems like it just wasn't picking up the gateway/router IP and subnet mask for whatever reason.
