rpi5 image location

Sat Nov 25, 2023 6:17 pm

I am trying to boot QNX on an RPi5. For the RPi4 we loaded the image at 0x80000. Is this still correct for the RPi5?

you can use the kernel_address= in config.txt to force it to wherever you want

(as long as it doesnt conflict with something else)

Bare metal kernels are still loaded at 0x80000 by default. I think, Linux images (with a special header) are loaded at 0x200000.

I think previously Kernels were loaded at 0x800000 and relocated but that's inefficient so I believe this will now change the default to 0x200000
