Trouble booting from NVMe

Sun Feb 18, 2024 5:04 pm

Hi everyone, I am in need of your help. I am trying to boot my Raspberry Pi 4 using an NVMe SSD inside an Argon One case. I updated to the latest firmware and flashed the latest OS to the NVMe drive. When I boot the Pi, I get the colored square splash screen, then one line of code, then the HDMI kicks out. Here is a video of it happening. Any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks in advance!

Make sure you're using a sufficient power supply for your Raspberry Pi 4.

I also own an Argon1 case with a M2 SSD and everything works fine.

I know - that doesn't help you right now but did you try to boot from a SD card just to make sure your issue is related to the SSD ?

Have you already backed up your Raspberries :?: For me raspiBackup creates them unattended every week :D

AIUI there are two version of the Argon 1 M.2 case for the 4B. One supports SATA M.2 drives the other NVMe. They are not cross compatible so drive and case must match.
