Nice! I found a perfect Tshirt for this guy, but i think we need a really big shirt :
Re: An idea about advertising the R-Pi
it does look more strawberry like to me too but the photographer claims it's a raspberry. seems a bit red to me to be a raspberry. can you check the colour against your nail varnish please.
but i still hold it would be good advertising. send Eben to the local costume shop and see if they have a raspberry costume in his size.

It's a strawberry! Look at the white seeds on the outside, I'm pretty sure raspberries don't have those.

Has it crossed your mind that perhaps the photog is a fruit-phobic dimwit?

I believe that Strawberries are the ONLY fruit to have external seeds.
Doesn't bother me though - don't like strawberries or raspberries. Or berries really.

Re: An idea about advertising the R-Pi
how about putting only a plain pi symbol on all tv networks for 1 hour on all channels at the same time...
if it would be to expensive, maybe we could use a mega pi cluster and pirate the tv networks ^^

just to dig it out again: maybe it is raspberry in a strawberry costume...
Re: An idea about advertising the R-Pi
Was out with the children at the rather lovely Dinosaur Adventure nr Norwich in Norfolk today, and there was a bloke where a shirt that simply had a picture of a Sinclair Spectrum on it, no text front or back at all. Instantly recognisable. Not sure just a picture of a bareboard Raspi would be quite so recognisable though!

What about making BBC and Slashdot reporting on the device? I don't think much more advertising is required... there are a lot of us just waiting to buy.

Re: An idea about advertising the R-Pi
I think Mateli has the right idea, once they are on one Uk channel, if us consumers like what we see we wil buy however im thinking it may be better on itv with a 30 second ad showning what it can do and its specs listed at its side.

Put this blog on one of the Alpha boards. Put a link showing the resources in use (SD card space used and unused, memory, processor usage etc.). Put it in the header that this blog is being served from a Raspberry Pi.
