Cable Matters USB/LAN adapter

Mon May 04, 2015 2:49 pm

Anyone had any luck getting one of these to work. It doesn't appear on the wiki list of known to work adapters, but I just happen to have one kicking around. When I do an ifconfig I see an eth1 device, but it's not got an ip address.

It sounds like your device is being detected correctly and the driver loaded.

In order to use it as eth1 you will have to set up entries for eth1 in /etc/network/interfaces. Copying the existing eth0 configuration should work.
