PiFi DAC+ V2.0

Mon Feb 16, 2015 7:53 pm

]Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any support for the PiFi DAC+ V2.0.
I own a Raspberry Pi B+ and got the sound card, but not sure how to configure it for the Pi. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
I got it two weeks ago. Installation was comparibly easy. I hv installed volumio on the rpi and followed the installation instructions. In volumio, the i2s driver settings for "Hifiberry +" can be applied. I assume the PiFi DAC+ is comparable to the HiFiBerry DAC+ in terms of the used HW.

Cheers!

Hi

did this work for you?

I have the same card http://www.dx.com/p/pifi-digi-dac-hifi- ... XKk8WC51Kg

but the hifiberry + driver is not functioning (i don't see the output at the playback section)

Thx

Not yet. I kinda gave up on it just busy with other projects.
I am going to try and do some research.
However, with HDMI hooked up and having a TV (Panasonic Viera plasma) there is an option for an optical output that plugs into the surround sound (Sony 7.1 X 120 watts) with Dolby and all the other sound processing surround features...works flawlessly.
using Kodi the Pi the optical audio connection gives me all the Hifi I could ever want...

My I2S DAC (P1F1 DAC+ v2.0) works perfectly with RuneAudio release version: 0.4 (build: beta-20141216) with the audio output setting as HiFiBerry DAC+ (I2S). The sound is astonishing and better than most of USBDAC interface.

I tried with runeaudio 0.3 but it doesn't work. I can't find 0.4 version.
Any idea?
Thanks

In version three you must uncomment out these two lines in /boot/config:

dtparam=i2s=on
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus

Only trusted workaround that can be found for your DAC or AMP is on the following link.
https://github.com/guussie/PiDS/wiki/09 ... -DACs-work

first find your DAC that are listed on the link and follow the steps to make your DAC
work properly. I have PiFi DAC+ (AliExpress) and it worked after I followed the steps given
under the section of
PiFi DAC+ (AliExpress)
. (Chinese clone :lol: ) .
