I'm getting a 169 ip address on my wifi and no connection when rebooting my pi. When I disconnect from the wifi and reenter the router password it works again, until I reboot. I installed network connection or something like that to get my pi working with a huawei 3g modem. The 3g modem works now, but no internet on reboot, and that's a problem since I prefear connecting to my pi by vnc or ssh.
Reinstaling raspbian would obviously work, but I'd prefear to clean up the mess..

Re: Getting 169 ip adress on reboot
If you get a 169.254.xxx.xxx address that means your system can't find a DHCP server on the subnet it's connected to. If it's WiFi it probably means your interface isn't associated with your access point. For ethernet it could mean a bad cable or a loose connection.
Languages using left-hand whitespace for syntax are ridiculous
