Error when trying to use Auvidea B101 with Pi 3 - Please help

Fri Apr 27, 2018 1:36 am

I'm trying to use a B101 to capture HDMI input on my Pi, but I get errors every time I try to use the B101. I've tried guides for using the B101 with [raspivid](viewtopic.php?f=38&t=120702) and [UV4L](https://www.linux-projects.org/uv4l/installation/), but nothing seems to work. I have enabled tc358743=yes and the subsequent related lines (in the uv4l config file) and Google'd to the best of my abilities but to no luck.

When I try UV4L, this is what I get:

Code: Select all

$ uv4l --driver-raspicam --auto-video_nr --width 640 --height 480 --encoding jpeg
                                                    <alert> [core] No device detected
When I try raspivid, this is what I get:

Code: Select all

The driver for the TC358743 HDMI to CSI2 chip you are using is NOT supported.
They were written for a demo purposes only, and are in the firmware on an as-is
basis and therefore requests for support or changes will not be acted on.

mmal: mmal_vc_component_enable: failed to enable component: ENOSPC
mmal: camera component couldn't be enabled
mmal: main: Failed to create camera component
mmal: Failed to run camera app. Please check for firmware updates
I have tried everything I can find and think of, and it seems as if the B101 is unsupported somehow. I am using a Pi 3 and Raspbian Stretch i downloaded yesterday. I have tried rebooting, updating firmware, and re flashing the SD. Any help is much appreciated, thank you all in advance.

uv4l --driver-raspicam ? you probably meant "uv4l --driver raspicam"

Return to “Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.)”
