[Tutorial] Running Unreal Engine on RaspberryPI4 with Vulkan

Thu Dec 03, 2020 7:23 pm

Hi Everyone i have just released a tutorial (disclaimer: lot of code in it) for running Unreal Engine projects on a RaspberryPI4 using the Mesa Vulkan drivers:

https://github.com/rdeioris/UnrealOnRPI4

All of the RPI4 variants have been tested (2/4/8 GB) wth both raspios64 and ubuntu for raspberrypi.

Enjoy!

Somehow I missed this one.
I did not think this was possible, well done.
What about the licensing for it?

It will be interesting to see how much the Pi can run using Unreal.
Does this mean old Games like Unreal Tournament could run if recompiled?
I always preferred the Unreal games over the Quake ones.

I'm brand new to the Pi world, and tech in general. Is just the 8GB Pi 4 capable of running Unreal or are there performance upgrades I need to do? If so, what are they?

Just the standard Pi4?
It will probably work better on the Pi400 which has a higher default CPU clock speed.

Try something like this on Unreal?
