U100 UPS HAT

Hi All,

I have this HAT: https://www.cytron.io/p-raspberry-pi-u1 ... uous-power with Panasonic NCR18650B, I use it with a RPi 4 2GB with a Meanwell LRS-35-5 PSU (5Vdc 7A).
Here is the led blinking description:

• LED1-LED4 indicates the remaining battery capacity.
• LED5 indicates the current power supply and charging status; when U100 is outputting, the LED5 is always on, and will flash quickly if it is charging; when U100 is not outputting, LED5 will flash slowly if it is charging, otherwise, LED5 will be off.

If the RPi is off, the battery can charge fully however once the RPi is on, LED 4 will blink continuously and LED5 will flash quickly no matter what. Until now it was not an issue, but this morning it seemed that both 18650 batteries were completely depleted even though the PSU was still on. I had to charge them again with a separate battery charger.

I have two U100 boards and I have similar issues, so I think it is either the board description that is erroneous or the battery have an issue ?
Anyone ever used that HAT or have an idea about what's going on ?
I tried also to increase the PSU wire size to 14AWG so I should be fine, voltage is at 5.1Vdc.

Have you tried contacting the seller or the manufacturer of the board? The latter migh be Geekworm judging by your link.

Yes I did and they said they would send new boards to the local reseller when he orders, but the local reseller has no plan to order so I am with 2 useless u100 hat.
I have tried different brands of 18650 as well as adding a bms to protect the batteries, still the same result...
It just depletes itself after a while, can be a day or a week, with two different types of batteries:

TIme to get you local comsumer protection laws into play. Beyond that, I'm not sure what to suggest.
