OSMC has always been and still is based of Debian ARMHF Stable and not Raspberry Pi (Raspbian ARMHF) Operating System.

I wonder why...
Bullseye is nearly here, why release now with Buster?

OSMC (and LibreElec) is a minimal Linux OS which is setup to run Kodi only.
They have nothing to do with other major Linux OS releases.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPi OS Bullseye w/ Desktop OS.

Please can we have reasonable OSMC related responses not conjecture and musings.

Another poor comment on a post, if you can not understand why then it is time to research

Whatever

See what I did there??

I know of OSMC since RPI2 days, but with it being based on Buster when Bullseye is out soon (rather, today) seems very silly.

You can't use the underlying OS with LibreElec but you *can* with OSMC.
I turned OSMC into a Desktop when using an RPI2. this was way back though...

I don't get why they'd release v19 with buster when bullseye was/is out/going to be out.

Makes no sense, they're adding more work for themselves.

And nice edits fruitoftheloom.
