Bookworm Unlocking gnome-keyring without Desktop environment

Wed Nov 29, 2023 6:34 am

Has anyone manage to unlock gnome-keyring without desktop environment before? I'm running bookworm lite version and I can't get a prompt to key in password in command line environment.

I've tried pass in password through command below:

Code: Select all

echo "<keyring-password>" | /usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon --unlock --replace --components=pkcs11,secrets --control-directory=/run/user/1000/keyring
However when I tried to enumerate the collection I get item with hashed attribute. Example below:

Code: Select all

{
  'gkr:compat:hashed:connection-uuid': '215b6291232abd9ca8e066a086fa39a2',
  'gkr:compat:hashed:setting-key': '5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99',
  'gkr:compat:hashed:setting-name': '531c22b1bcc0308249fafd55ca7ca750',
  'gkr:compat:hashed:xdg:schema': 'ec1bf9e891d588ba34f4d1227c6463ee',
  'xdg:schema': 'org.freedesktop.Secret.Generic'
}
The expected attribute is

Code: Select all

{
  'connection-uuid': '<profile-id>',
  'setting-key': 'password',
  'setting-name': '802-1x',
  'xdg:schema': 'org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.Connection'
}

Appreciate if anyone can help on this.
