Ribbon Cable Name?
Does anyone know the name of the connector that is on the Pi to connect to the flat ribbon display used on the 7 inch touch panel? Any good sources for longer cables, maybe 12 inches?

Re: Ribbon Cable Name?
The cable is identical for the camera and display. it's a 15pin FFC, but please ensure that the connections are on the same sides as the original otherwise you are likely to blow either Pi or display up.
Search on Ebay or your preferred Pi supplier for Pi camera cables and you won't go far wrong. They're available from 2cm up to 2m.
DSI (and CSI) are not designed to go long distances, so it isn't guaranteed to work with longer FFCs, but it generally will.
